How Brixtrace Works

Brixtrace compares real delivered prices across 50+ marketplaces so you know the fair price before you buy. We do not sell anything. We send you to the best deal.

Photo Scan

At a fair, store, or flea market, point your camera at a box, build, or minifigure. Brixtrace identifies the product and shows you the fair price range instantly.

What the results mean

  • IDENTIFIED; we matched the product with high confidence
  • GOOD PRICE; the fair price or below. Safe to buy.
  • FAIR PRICE IS HIGH; the seller is above market value. Negotiate or walk away.
  • Confidence indicator; how certain we are about the match. Lower confidence means double-check the set number.

Tips for best results

  • Use good lighting. Avoid glare on glossy boxes.
  • Fill the frame with the product. The set number or name should be readable.
  • Hold steady. A blurry photo reduces match accuracy.

How We Calculate Fair Price

The fair price range is the median delivered price across all active listings for that product, based on data from 50+ marketplaces and retailers. It updates regularly.

Good price = at or below the median. High price = above the 75th percentile. These are signals, not guarantees. Condition, completeness, and region all affect real value.

Trust and Warnings

Brixtrace flags listings that may be risky:

  • Incomplete; missing minifigures, manual, or box
  • Used / Opened; not factory sealed
  • Suspicious price; far below market (possible fake or scam)
  • Clone brand; compatible but not the original brand

We do not sell anything and we do not process payments. We send you to the seller. Always check the seller's ratings and return policy before buying.

Alternative Brands

When a product is overpriced, retired, or unavailable, Brixtrace suggests compatible alternatives from other brick brands. These are quality builds at lower prices. They are clearly labeled so you always know what you are getting.
